3MG after Hurricane Maria
We survived! Our farm suffered damage, but we will be operational for the 2017-2018 winter season. For logistics purposes, we will be operating only on the north farm this season. Land preparation has already begun. Our official start date for planting this season is Nov 1. If you want to contact us and cannot get through to our Caribe office, please call our 3MG North office (320-523-1267).
Water and electricity are returning to Santa Isabel, but phone communication is still inconsistent. We are both lucky and blessed that our farm was spared from the worst of the damage. However, our local community, staff, and island as a whole were hit harder. Post Maria Puerto Rico is going to require a long process of rebuilding.
You Can Help Us Make a Difference
We have been humbled by and grateful for the outpouring of support from our customers and friends over the past few weeks. Many of you have checked in with us and asked what you can do to help. First, just trusting us to handle your projects this season considering the challenges we face will help keep our local economy moving so we can rebuild.
After much assessment and prayer, the Lord has laid it upon our hearts to be of service to this community which has been our home and our sustenance for the last 19 years. Ed and Debbie have set up a relief fund for Santa Isabel. They will work in coalition with other individuals, community leaders, and businesses to help rebuild the homes of people who lost everything in the hurricane. If you would like to help in this endeavor, you can donate money or supplies to the Santa Isabel Relief Fund. You can also volunteer your time and skills to the rebuilding of these homes. If you would like to help in this manner, feel free to contact Erin or Raechel directly or use the “Contact Us” page on the website.
Thank you.
